Mumbai: JioStar has announced the appointment of Srijith Jagdish as Head of Emerging Markets for its Entertainment portfolio. This move reflects the company’s strategic focus on expanding its footprint across new and high-growth markets.
Srijith brings with him over 18 years of experience across sectors including media, automotive, and entertainment. Prior to joining JioStar, he served as Head – SMB Ads Revenue at Disney+ Hotstar, where he played a key role in scaling monetization strategies for small and medium businesses across the platform.
Announcing the transition on his LinkedIn profile, Srijith shared, “I’m happy to share that I have moved into a new role as Head of Emerging Markets for the Entertainment portfolio at JioStar.”
Before his stint at Disney+ Hotstar, Srijith held several leadership positions at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Automotive and Farm Equipment sector). He began his career at Mahindra in 2006 as Executive Assistant to the EVP – Sales & Marketing, and over time, contributed significantly to brand management, strategic planning, and business development initiatives.
Srijith holds an MBA in Marketing and Marketing Management from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). His diverse industry exposure and in-depth understanding of consumer behavior in emerging markets make him a valuable addition to JioStar’s leadership team as it looks to deepen engagement across key geographies.
