Mumbai: Eternal, the parent company of Zomato, has announced the appointment of Aditya Mangla as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its food ordering and delivery business. Mangla’s two-year term is effective immediately, succeeding Rakesh Ranjan, who concluded his tenure as CEO on July 6, 2025.
While Ranjan is no longer designated as Senior Management Personnel (SMP), he will continue to contribute in an advisory role.
Mangla has been a part of Eternal since March 2021 and has held multiple leadership positions including Head of Product, Head of Supply, and Head of Customer Experience. Known for his sharp problem-solving and customer-first mindset, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Zomato’s operational and product strategies in recent years.
Before joining Eternal, Mangla worked in senior roles across tech-enabled startups, leading product, marketing, and P&L functions. His academic background includes a Master’s in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, a management degree from the Indian School of Business—where he was a Torchbearer Awardee—and an undergraduate degree in IT from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.
Mangla’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Zomato continues to scale its delivery ecosystem across India and explore deeper integration of tech and logistics to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
