New Delhi: NDTV has named veteran journalist Anupam Srivastava as Chief Executive Producer for NDTV India and its network of regional channels, strengthening its editorial and content leadership as it expands regional storytelling and brand presence.
With over two decades of experience in broadcast journalism, long-form factual storytelling, and channel operations, Srivastava is known for blending the immediacy of live news with the depth of narrative-driven content. His editorial career spans leadership roles at Times Now, Times Now Navbharat, and Times Chronicles, where he helmed coverage of major national events — from the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks to high-stakes election nights. Notably, he has conducted two rare, exclusive interviews with the Prime Minister.
Srivastava’s long-form portfolio features some of India’s most acclaimed factual series, including Love Kills (Discovery+), Tiranga (National Geographic India), 1971: Birth of a Nation, Tales of Valour, Kashmir: The Story, and Gallantry of Galwan. Known for his meticulous research, cinematic visual design, and structured storytelling, his work has won multiple NT Awards and ENBA honours.
Beyond editorial excellence, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the visual and operational identity of channels — leading the transition from SD to HD, managing complete channel relocations, overseeing brand-defining design projects, and commissioning original programming for global OTT platforms. His expertise in reimagining archival footage into high-impact narratives has allowed him to deliver premium content across a range of budgets.
In his new role, Srivastava will oversee NDTV India’s flagship programming and drive content strategy, editorial direction, and brand positioning for NDTV’s expanding portfolio of regional channels. His mandate includes strengthening regional storytelling, deepening local audience engagement, and ensuring each channel reflects the cultural and linguistic identity of its market.

“NDTV’s strength has always been credible, well-crafted storytelling,” said Srivastava. “My focus will be on building on that strength across both national and regional platforms — refining our craft, and ensuring every story connects with viewers in a meaningful way.”
Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, welcomed the appointment, stating: “Anupam brings the judgement, experience, and creative focus to elevate NDTV’s premium content. His ability to translate editorial vision into high-quality execution makes him a valuable addition to the team.”
With Srivastava’s appointment, NDTV aims to further its mission of delivering stories told with clarity and crafted with purpose, reflecting the ambition and spirit of a new India.
