New Delhi: Z Media has announced two significant board-level reappointments, reinforcing its leadership team as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
The company has reappointed Sushant Kumar Panda as independent director for a second term of five years, effective from September 1, 2025, until August 31, 2030. In addition, veteran finance professional Dinesh Kumar Garg has been appointed as full-time director for a three-year term beginning September 20, 2025, and ending September 19, 2028.
Panda, a 1982-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, brings with him nearly four decades of experience in India’s tax administration. He has served in senior roles within the Ministry of Finance and the Department of Revenue, including as a member of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and as Special Secretary to the Government of India. Over his long career, he has held assignments across multiple states, investigated key cases as Special Director in the Enforcement Directorate, and served as Commissioner in the Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT). A postgraduate in Political Science and a law graduate, Panda retired in 2019 after 37 years of service.
Dinesh Kumar Garg, a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience, has played a pivotal role in Zee Media Corporation’s growth as part of its core management team. His expertise spans financial control, corporate restructuring, fund raising, audits, and legal matters. Prior to his role at Z Media, Garg has also held senior leadership responsibilities across other organisations in the financial sector.
