Mumbai: ZEE5 has announced the digital premiere of the uproarious action-comedy ‘The Pet Detective’, which will begin streaming on the platform from November 28.
Directed by Praneesh Vijayan, the film stars Sharaf U Dheen in the lead role, who also makes his debut as producer. The ensemble cast features Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt, Anupama Parameswaran, Shyam Mohan, and Joemon Jyothir, adding depth and humour to the fast-paced narrative.
The Pet Detective revolves around Tony Jose Alula (played by Sharaf U Dheen), an underachieving yet determined detective who takes on a seemingly simple missing-pet case to prove himself. The case, however, rapidly escalates into a wild trail involving international smugglers, kidnappers, a missing child, a Mexican mafia don, exotic fish, and a competitive police inspector chasing the same girl.
Packed with eccentric characters, chaotic twists, and a high-energy climax reminiscent of classic Priyadarshan comedies, the film promises a breezy, family-friendly entertainer.
Sharing his excitement, Sharaf U Dheen said, “The Pet Detective is very special to me, not just as an actor, but because it marks my debut as a producer. The Pet Detective will be available to stream on ZEE5 starting November 28.
