Mumbai: FanCode has secured the digital streaming rights for the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) in India, strengthening its cricket content portfolio as the Sri Lankan franchise T20 tournament looks to expand its digital footprint across the Indian market.
The tournament, scheduled to be held from July 17 to August 8, 2026, will be streamed live on FanCode, giving Indian cricket fans access to all matches featuring a mix of Sri Lankan and international stars.
Organised by Sri Lanka Cricket, with commercial and event rights held by Innovative Production Group FZ, LLC (IPG), the Lanka Premier League has emerged as one of South Asia’s prominent franchise T20 competitions. According to the league, audience consumption grew by 65% over the previous season, prompting a greater focus on expanding digital reach and fan engagement in India through the latest partnership.

The 2026 edition of the league will feature 62 Sri Lankan cricketers and 32 international players representing five franchises—Colombo Kaps, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Gallants, Kandy Royals and defending champions SC Jaffna Kings.
Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar is set to make his Lanka Premier League debut for the Kandy Royals, while the tournament will also feature international players including Moeen Ali, Jimmy Neesham, Shakib Al Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga and Angelo Mathews.
The five-team competition will follow a double round-robin format before culminating in the playoffs. With player registrations from 21 countries and enhanced digital distribution in India through FanCode, the league is aiming to further strengthen its commercial growth and international audience reach.
