Bengaluru: Datadog, Inc., the monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, has announced the promotion of Namit D’Cruz to Regional Vice President for Enterprise, India and SAARC.
In his expanded role, D’Cruz will move beyond leading Datadog’s enterprise business in southern India to shaping and executing the company’s broader enterprise strategy across India and the SAARC region. His mandate includes strengthening existing customer relationships, building new enterprise engagements, and scaling Datadog’s regional presence as demand accelerates for observability, security and AI-driven operations. He will also oversee the growth of Datadog’s India team across sales, in-region support, alliances and channel partnerships, marketing, and SDR operations.
“Enterprises are increasingly moving beyond experimentation to deploy AI for customer experience, scale, automation, and operational efficiency. As this shift accelerates, visibility, governance, and reliability across AI-driven systems become critical to building digital resilience,” said D’Cruz. “Datadog helps organizations gain end-to-end observability across the AI stack, from infrastructure and GPUs to models and agents, while addressing cost control, risk detection, and responsible AI adoption. I’m excited to lead our regional enterprise team and work closely with customers as they navigate this next phase of transformation.”
Highlighting the strategic importance of the region, Rob Thorne, VP APJ, Datadog, said, “India has become a critical growth market for Datadog, driven by strong enterprise adoption of cloud, security, and AI-led operations. Our continued investment in the region reflects both customer demand and the depth of talent here. Namit’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for our India and SAARC business—his leadership, enterprise experience, and understanding of the regional market will be key as we scale our teams, deepen customer relationships, and drive the next phase of growth.”
D’Cruz brings over two decades of experience in driving large-scale digital and cloud transformation initiatives. During his tenure at Datadog, he has played a key role in strengthening the company’s enterprise footprint in India, enabling some of the country’s largest organizations to modernize infrastructure and gain real-time visibility into complex environments. Prior to joining Datadog, he held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, where he helped build and scale the strategic digital-native business in India, supporting high-growth companies in leveraging cloud platforms to innovate and expand.
