Mumbai: Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL) has appointed long-time company executive Pavanjit S Bedi as Chief Marketing Officer – Foods, marking a shift for the marketer from Beauty & Personal Care to the company’s foods portfolio in India.
Bedi, who has spent more than two decades with Unilever, most recently served as Global Brand Vice President, a role he held for over four years. In that capacity, he steered the global rebranding and repositioning of Glow & Lovely, one of the company’s largest personal care brands.
Over the course of his career, he has worked extensively across emerging and developed markets, managing brands such as Dove, Pears, Lifebuoy and Pond’s across India, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
Announcing his elevation in a LinkedIn update, Bedi described HUL’s foods business in India as a portfolio that blends cultural relevance with scale and scope for reinvention. He noted that as consumer behaviour evolves, the priority will be to build brands that retain consumer trust while adapting to shifting tastes and preferences.
His move comes as HUL continues to sharpen focus on its foods and nutrition segment, which houses some of the company’s most widely consumed household brands in India.
