Hyderabad: Mindspace EcoRun 2.0 returned to Hyderabad with strong participation, as over 4,200 runners gathered at Mindspace Madhapur on Sunday for the second edition of the sustainability-led marathon. Organised by Mindspace REIT in association with Radio Mirchi, the event combined fitness with environmental consciousness.

The marathon featured 5 KM, 10 KM, and 21 KM categories, drawing a diverse mix of seasoned runners, first-time participants, families, and corporate teams. The turnout reflected broad community engagement, with participants across age groups contributing to an energetic and inclusive atmosphere.

The event was flagged off by actors Divi Vadthya, Harsh Roshan, and Sridevi Apalla, while Mirchi RJs kept the momentum high with live interactions and on-ground engagement throughout the morning.

Built around a sustainability-first framework, the EcoRun incorporated several eco-friendly practices, including plantable bibs, organic jerseys, refillable hydration stations, and biodegradable cutlery to reduce single-use waste.

Ahead of the main run, the EcoRun Expo held on February 20 and 21 featured a Sustainability Flea Market in partnership with Nirmaan Organization. The initiative aimed to support livelihoods for specially abled individuals and women from underprivileged communities, aligning with the event’s broader social impact goals.

A key highlight of this edition is that the waste generated during the marathon will be upcycled into functional chairs and donated to school children through the NGO partner, reinforcing the event’s circular economy approach.

Speaking on the occasion, Shrawan Kumar Gone, COO – K Raheja Corp (AP & Telangana), highlighted the brand’s commitment to integrating sustainability with community engagement.

As a flagship initiative of Mindspace REIT, the EcoRun seeks to drive long-term environmental and social impact while fostering a culture of wellness and responsible living in Hyderabad.

The event was supported by multiple partners, including GOLD WINNER as Health Partner, ARMIN as Timing Partner, KHUSHI as Integrated OOH Partner, NIRMAAN as NGO Partner, LETS GO as Fitness Partner, Yashoda Hospitals as Medical Partner, Hallmark as Residential Partner, Kairams as F&B Partner, Toyota as Automobile Partner, xtraliving as Training & Wellness Partner, Shoppers Stop as Fashion Partner, The Westin Hyderabad as Hospitality Partner, and Inorbit Mall as Mall Partner.
