Mumbai: WPP Media has appointed Kartik Vishwanathan as Vice President – Investments, marking his return to the organisation where he previously spent a significant part of his career with Mindshare. This will be his second stint within the WPP Media network, following an association with Mindshare spanning more than 15 years.
Commenting on his new role, Vishwanathan said in a LinkedIn post, “Glad to be working with WPP Media again—an organisation that shaped a significant part of my professional journey over the years. Currently serving as Vice President – Investments, contributing to regional and global priorities through a special assignment with a strategic mandate.”
Prior to this appointment, Vishwanathan was based in Shanghai with Mindshare China, where he served as Head of Investment Strategy from December 2019 until October 2023. In that role, he led strategic investment initiatives and partnerships in one of the world’s most dynamic media markets.
In his new capacity at WPP Media, Vishwanathan will contribute to regional and global priorities through a special assignment aligned with the company’s broader strategic mandate. His return underscores WPP Media’s continued focus on strengthening its investment leadership and global integration across markets.
