Mumbai: Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company, has unveiled its latest Earth Day campaign, ‘Choose Power That Protects Earth’, reinforcing the role of everyday energy choices in shaping a cleaner and more resilient future.
Built around a powerful visual narrative, the campaign urges individuals, businesses, and communities to adopt cleaner and smarter energy solutions. At its core lies a simple yet compelling idea — that everyday decisions can significantly influence the future of the planet.
Leveraging a striking split-screen storytelling format, the campaign film juxtaposes two parallel worlds: one dependent on conventional, resource-intensive energy systems, and the other powered by integrated renewable solutions. Through this contrast, the narrative highlights the tangible impact of transitioning to sustainable energy.
The campaign spans diverse real-world scenarios across industries, mobility, rural communities, and households. It showcases how technologies such as solar power, wind energy, microgrids, EV charging infrastructure, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are transforming energy access across India while enhancing energy security.
From industrial clusters facing power instability under traditional grids to facilities powered by solar and BESS ensuring uninterrupted operations, and from rural regions with inconsistent electricity supply to communities supported by decentralized microgrids, the film illustrates the benefits of clean energy adoption. It also highlights the shift from fuel-intensive urban mobility to cleaner electric alternatives.
Further, the campaign underscores that renewable energy is not only environmentally critical but also economically viable—offering reliable power, reduced energy costs, and scalable solutions. Applications such as rooftop solar for households, smart energy management systems, and EV ecosystems are presented as practical pathways toward sustainable living.
The narrative culminates in a hopeful vision of cleaner air, greener landscapes, and a more sustainable future for coming generations, reinforcing the importance of conscious decision-making today.
With ‘Choose Power That Protects Earth’, TPREL aims to showcase its integrated clean energy ecosystem while encouraging citizens to actively participate in the sustainability movement. As a key player in India’s energy transition, the company continues to expand its renewable footprint at scale.
TPREL recently crossed a significant milestone of over 11.6 GW in renewable energy capacity, with 6.3 GW operational capacity—including 5.1 GW solar and 1.2 GW wind—and 5.3 GW projects under various stages of implementation. Its solar EPC portfolio currently exceeds 16.7 GWp of utility-scale projects and over 4.8 GWp in rooftop and distributed systems.
