Mumbai: MakeMyTrip has elevated Abhinav Narula to Senior Vice President – Marketing, marking a significant milestone in his decade-long journey with the company. Narula announced the development through a LinkedIn post, stating, “I’m happy to share that I have been promoted to Senior Vice President – Marketing at MakeMyTrip!”
Narula moves into the new role after serving as Vice President – Marketing, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s brand, CRM, and growth strategies. Over the years, he has taken on multiple leadership positions within the organisation, contributing to both MakeMyTrip and its group platform Goibibo.
In earlier roles, Narula served as Head of Brand for Goibibo and Head of Analytics and Strategy for both platforms, where he drove data-led decision-making and brand-building initiatives. As Marketing Director and Head of Brand at Goibibo, he led brand and digital marketing efforts while also steering retention and app growth strategies.
He also handled CRM, loyalty programmes, and app growth for Goibibo, delivering measurable improvements in traffic and conversion across business lines. Narula originally joined MakeMyTrip in 2016 as Marketing Manager – CRM and Loyalty, laying the foundation for his long-term impact on the company’s customer engagement ecosystem.
Prior to his tenure at MakeMyTrip, Narula spent over five years at Vodafone, where he worked across marketing, product, and sales functions. His roles included leading data, VAS, and SMS for the Punjab circle, giving him early exposure to customer-centric growth and telecom marketing dynamics.
Narula’s elevation underscores MakeMyTrip’s continued focus on strengthening its marketing leadership as it looks to deepen customer engagement and accelerate growth in an increasingly competitive travel ecosystem.
