New Delhi: Consumer-to-consumer (C2C) marketplace Vingo has raised Rs 10 crore (approximately $1.2 million) in a seed funding round led by IndiaQuotient, as the startup looks to strengthen its platform and build India’s next-generation marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned products.
The funding round also saw participation from Inuka Capital and angel investor Rishabh Goel, Founder of Credgenics. The platform is currently live on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store and operates in Bengaluru.
The fresh capital will be deployed to enhance Vingo’s product capabilities, strengthen its trust infrastructure, deepen research into user behaviour and support targeted marketing initiatives across key consumer communities.
Founded in March 2026 by engineering students Parth Sarthi (BITS Pilani), Saransh Goyal (IIT Delhi) and Krish Vashistha (IIT Delhi), Vingo is built around the belief that trust between buyers and sellers is as important as the product being listed. The platform combines identity verification, community-led discovery, escrow-backed payments and bidding mechanisms to facilitate secure peer-to-peer transactions.
Vingo caters to aspirational product categories including smartphones, cameras, gaming consoles, musical instruments, fashion and sports equipment, while also hosting unique collectibles such as an Argentina AFA 2022 FIFA World Cup jersey signed by Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez and Emiliano Martínez.
Commenting on the company’s vision, Parth Sarthi, Co-founder of Vingo, said, “Consumer-to-consumer commerce is increasingly becoming a way for people to own products they may not otherwise buy new, while helping someone else realise value from products they no longer use. We are building Vingo around that behaviour by making it easier for people to discover, trust and transact directly with one another.”
According to Research and Markets, India’s recommerce market is projected to grow from US$5.91 billion in 2026 to US$8.61 billion by 2030, driven by increasing consumer acceptance of online pre-owned commerce. Vingo is focused on building its presence within the consumer-to-consumer segment of this expanding market.
Sharing the rationale behind the investment, Madhukar Sinha, Partner at IndiaQuotient, said, “We believe consumer-to-consumer commerce in India needs a fresh approach built from the ground up. The Vingo team has a thoughtful approach to the category, and we are excited to partner with them as they build.”
Looking ahead, Vingo plans to continue investing in technology and trust-led features to enable buyers and sellers to transact with greater confidence, while expanding its footprint in India’s rapidly growing recommerce ecosystem.
