Mumbai: Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, has announced the appointment of Frieda He as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
In her new role, Frieda He will lead Vertiv’s global procurement organisation, focusing on strengthening supply chain resilience, enabling growth, optimising cost and value, and enhancing supplier quality across its portfolio. This includes end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for data centres, communications networks, and commercial and industrial applications.
Frieda brings nearly two decades of experience in global procurement and supply chain leadership across the automotive and electrification sectors. Most recently, she served as Chief Procurement Officer and a member of the Group Management Team at Polestar, where she oversaw over $3 billion in annual global spend across direct and indirect materials, supplier quality, R&D industrial programs, and cost management, while leading enterprise transformation initiatives.

Prior to Polestar, Frieda held senior leadership roles at Volvo Cars, including Vice President and Head of Global Propulsion & Sustainability Procurement. In this role, she led a procurement organisation managing over $9 billion in annual spend and played a key role in the company’s electrification transformation.
Her experience spans managing supply chains through global disruptions, strengthening supplier capabilities, advancing sustainability and regulatory compliance, and supporting major joint ventures and structural initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held procurement and supply chain roles across China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Frieda holds bachelor’s degrees from Northeast Normal University in China and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford, and brings extensive global experience to support Vertiv’s next phase of growth.
