Mumbai: CloudTV has partnered with manoramaMAX, the Malayalam-exclusive OTT platform from the Malayala Manorama Group, to strengthen regional content offerings for connected TV audiences across India.
The collaboration is aimed at enhancing access to premium Malayalam entertainment for Smart TV users by bringing manoramaMAX’s extensive catalogue of regional programming to CloudTV OS-powered televisions.
Through the partnership, CloudTV users will gain seamless access to over 20,000 hours of Malayalam content, including movies, television serials, web series, shows, and news programming. The move comes amid rising demand for local-language entertainment on connected TVs, as audiences increasingly seek culturally relevant and immersive viewing experiences.
Rooted in the legacy of the Malayala Manorama Group, manoramaMAX offers a library of more than 500 Malayalam films along with fiction and non-fiction programming from Mazhavil Manorama, including popular shows such as Marimayam. The platform also features original web series, live news coverage, special events, and award shows.
Abhijeet Rajpurohit, Co-Founder and COO, CloudTV, said, “India’s connected TV ecosystem is rapidly evolving, with regional content emerging as a key driver of both viewership and engagement. As audiences increasingly seek stories that reflect their language and cultural identity, there is a clear shift towards more localised, high-quality content on the big screen. Our partnership with manoramaMAX is a strategic step towards strengthening our regional content portfolio, bringing deeply rooted Malayalam storytelling to millions of households and making premium regional entertainment more accessible across geographies.”

P R Satheesh, Chief Executive Officer, MM TV Limited, added, “manoramaMAX was envisioned as a comprehensive destination for Malayalam entertainment, bringing together cinema, television, news, and original storytelling for audiences globally. As connected TVs become central to home viewing, our partnership with CloudTV enables us to reach millions of households and deliver a more immersive experience. Together, we are expanding access to high-quality, culturally rooted Malayalam content while strengthening its presence in India’s evolving digital ecosystem.”
Subscribers accessing manoramaMAX through CloudTV will also benefit from advanced viewing features, including support for 4K resolution and Dolby Audio. The platform currently offers more than 500 film titles and plans to add at least ten movie premieres every month.
A notable feature of manoramaMAX is its early-access offering, which enables viewers to watch episodes of popular Mazhavil Manorama shows ahead of their television broadcast, giving audiences greater flexibility over their viewing schedules.
Developed by CloudWalker Streaming Technologies, CloudTV has been steadily expanding its content ecosystem through partnerships with multiple streaming platforms and content providers. The company said the addition of manoramaMAX further reinforces its commitment to delivering diverse regional entertainment experiences and celebrating India’s linguistic and cultural diversity through connected television platforms.
