New Delhi: Kalyan Jewellers has returned to the Cannes Film Festival for its third appearance, making a striking statement in couture-inspired high jewellery after a brief hiatus. The brand unveiled a bespoke jewellery creation for brand ambassador Kalyani Priyadarshan’s debut red carpet appearance at Cannes, showcasing a fusion of craftsmanship, glamour, and contemporary design.
Inspired by the elegance and geometry of the Art Deco era, the custom-designed lariat necklace was reimagined with a modern couture sensibility. Styled dramatically along the back, the piece extended into two sculptural cascading strands that seamlessly blended into the couture gown, creating the illusion of jewellery and fashion merging into one fluid silhouette. The statement back jewel became the defining visual element of the entire ensemble.
At the centre of the design sits a 52-carat pear-shaped blue sapphire, complemented by 15 carats of round pink morganites and 945 natural diamonds featuring marquise, brilliant, and princess cuts, all set in 14k white gold.
The bespoke high-jewellery creation was crafted over a period of 40 days, reflecting the intricate artistry and precision associated with Kalyan Jewellers’ high-jewellery atelier. The look was completed with coordinated statement rings and earrings, further elevating the red-carpet presentation.
Through its latest Cannes appearance, Kalyan Jewellers continues to strengthen its presence in the global luxury and couture jewellery space while showcasing Indian craftsmanship on an international stage.
