New Delhi: KP Group, an integrated renewable energy and infrastructure conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Rajesh Shrivastava as Executive Director, strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its expansion and scale-up plans across the renewable energy ecosystem.
With nearly four decades of experience spanning the power, infrastructure, EPC, and renewable energy sectors, Shrivastava joins KP Group at a crucial phase of growth and diversification.
Over the course of his 37-year career, he has been associated with more than 30 GW of power projects across conventional and renewable energy sectors, including over 10 GW of renewable energy projects currently under execution and development.
Prior to joining KP Group, Shrivastava served as President & Business Head – Renewable Energy Development at Reliance New Energy, where he played a key role in planning and execution strategy for a large-scale renewable energy ecosystem in Kutch, involving 150 GWp solar capacity and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Earlier, as Chief Executive Officer at Aditya Birla Renewables, he led the expansion of the company’s renewable portfolio from nearly 645 MW to over 3.2 GW within two years, while also shaping the Group’s long-term decarbonisation strategy.
During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer at Adani Green Energy, Shrivastava also led the execution of a large hybrid renewable energy project comprising around 2.3 GW solar and 760 MW wind capacity at a single location during the Covid period.

A Gold Medalist in Civil Engineering, Shrivastava holds an M.Tech in Structures from IIT Mumbai and has also completed executive management studies at INSEAD Singapore. He has been recognised among the Top 15 Global Leaders by Toshiba Corporation, Japan, for his leadership contributions.
