Mumbai: Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) has announced the appointment of Yamini Gharge as Deputy General Manager – Media Planning and Public Relations for its India operations, further strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its brand-building and communications efforts.
In her new role, Gharge will lead BKT’s media transformation and public relations mandate, focusing on enhancing brand visibility, strengthening corporate credibility, and driving stakeholder engagement across both B2B and B2C segments.
Based in Mumbai, she will oversee the company’s integrated media strategy, corporate communications, media investments, and reputation management initiatives, aligning them with BKT’s long-term growth objectives in the Indian market.
With more than 18 years of experience in marketing, communications, and media leadership, Gharge brings extensive expertise across sectors including FMCG, consumer durables, retail, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Her appointment reflects BKT’s commitment to building a robust communications framework to support its business and brand ambitions.
Prior to joining BKT, Gharge held senior leadership positions at some of the country’s leading media networks, including Mindshare (GroupM), Madison Media, and Wavemaker. Throughout her career, she has been recognised for driving media innovation, integrated planning, and content-led brand solutions while building high-performing teams and delivering measurable business outcomes.
She has also worked closely with business leaders and CXOs to develop strategic media and communication initiatives aimed at improving market share, consumer penetration, and brand equity.
