Uttar Pradesh: Capri Sports has launched ‘Path to Legacy’, a nationwide fan engagement campaign under its broader ‘Warriorz in Blue’ platform to support India’s campaign at the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and deepen engagement with women’s cricket across the country.
Positioning itself as a long-term advocate for the growth of women’s cricket in India, Capri Sports said the initiative aims to build stronger connections between fans and the sport while encouraging wider participation and sustained support beyond tournament cycles. Through the campaign, the company seeks to transform the Women’s T20 World Cup into a shared national celebration and contribute to building a stronger culture around women’s sport.
As part of the initiative, Capri Sports will host live screenings of India’s Women’s T20 World Cup matches across four cities in Uttar Pradesh — Varanasi, Lucknow, Agra and Kanpur. The screenings are designed as inclusive community experiences that bring together women, families and young cricket enthusiasts to celebrate Team India’s journey while creating greater visibility for women’s cricket.
The campaign also builds on India’s ODI World Cup success in 2025, with Capri Sports positioning the current tournament as an opportunity to create another landmark moment for the national team. Anchored in the message, “One is a milestone. Two is a legacy,” the initiative seeks to encourage collective support for the team’s global campaign.

Speaking on the initiative, Jinisha Sharma, Director, Capri Sports, said, “Women’s cricket in India is no longer just an emerging sport, it is becoming a national movement. At Capri Sports, we believe that building the future of women’s cricket requires investing beyond the boundary ropes by creating platforms that inspire fandom, participation and community. Through Path to Legacy, we want every fan to feel part of India’s journey and help create an ecosystem where women cricketers receive the visibility, support and celebration they truly deserve. As fans across Uttar Pradesh come together through our screening initiatives, there will also be immense pride in supporting homegrown talents like Deepti Sharma and Kranti Gaud, whose achievements continue to inspire young girls and aspiring cricketers across the state. Our commitment extends beyond tournaments, we are committed to playing a meaningful role in shaping the future of women’s cricket in India.”

Abhijit Jain, Chief Marketing Officer, Capri Sports, added, “#PathToLegacy is our effort to transform support for the Indian Women’s Cricket Team into a sustained movement. The historic World Cup triumph in 2025 gave fans a moment to celebrate, and the Women’s T20 World Cup presents an opportunity to deepen that connection with the game. Through initiatives like the UP Warriorz Fan Adda, we are creating meaningful experiences that bring communities together, encourage greater engagement with women’s cricket, and inspire more people to rally behind Team India. As the team continues its journey on the global stage, we hope to strengthen the culture of fandom and contribute to the long-term growth of women’s cricket in the country.”
