Mumbai: Abundantia Entertainment, a content studio, has announced the appointment of Ramesh Mundhra as Head – Business Affairs, Strategy and Operations, as the company strengthens its leadership structure to support its next phase of growth.
The appointment comes amid a strong start to 2026 for the studio, following back-to-back successes with Subedaar, Daldal and Maa Behen, reinforcing Abundantia’s momentum across its content portfolio.
In his new role, Mundhra will lead business affairs, strategic initiatives and operational functions, helping shape the company’s long-term growth and scale across content creation and commercialization.
Mundhra brings more than two decades of experience across strategy, content acquisition, business planning, studio operations and commercial leadership. He joins Abundantia Entertainment from Viacom18, now JioStar, where he spent 18 years across leadership roles spanning Studios, Content Production and Strategy.
During his tenure, he contributed to several notable projects including Padmaavat, Andhadhun, Drishyam, Fighter, Jamtara and Kaalkoot, among others. Prior to Viacom18, he built his expertise in finance and business operations at Tata Sky.

Commenting on the appointment, Vikram Malhotra, Founder and CEO, Abundantia Entertainment, said, “As Abundantia scales up in ambition — creatively, operationally, and commercially — it is critical that we have the right people architecture in place. Ramesh brings a unique combination of strategic rigour and operational depth that this upcoming phase demands. His experience across the full content value chain makes him ideally suited to strengthen the way we build and grow Abundantia.”
Speaking on his appointment, Ramesh commented, “Abundantia has consistently and profitably backed impactful stories and storytellers that matter, and at scale. I am excited to join at a time when the entertainment landscape is being reshaped by evolving audiences and technologies like AI. I look forward to working with Vikram and the team to build further on a strong base and contribute to the next chapter of Abundantia’s growth.”
Looking ahead, Abundantia Entertainment has lined up an extensive project slate spanning the second half of 2026 and extending into 2027. Upcoming titles include Family Business, a new series with Netflix, Sundar Poonam, an original film with Prime Video, Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal for theatrical release, along with a pipeline of AI-driven films under Abundantia’s AI content vertical, aiON.
