Mumbai: Audio streaming platform Gaana has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Shabnam Majumdar as Director – Partnerships and Alliances, as the company looks to deepen its commercial ecosystem and accelerate revenue growth through strategic collaborations.
In her new role, Majumdar will spearhead revenue partnerships for the platform, focusing on forging new strategic alliances, expanding partnership opportunities, and driving commercial collaborations that strengthen Gaana’s business ecosystem.
Majumdar joins the company with more than 20 years of experience spanning the telecom, BFSI, and media and entertainment sectors. Over the course of her career, she has built expertise in strategic B2B partnerships, enterprise sales, revenue generation, market expansion, global account management, and go-to-market strategy.
Before moving to Gaana, she served as Associate Director – Strategic Partnerships, Digital at ZEE5, where she played a key role in growing subscription revenues through partnerships with telecom operators, internet service providers, fintech firms and e-commerce platforms.
Earlier in her career, Majumdar held leadership and business development roles at Vodafone India, G4S, 92.7 Big FM, HSBC, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Max Life Insurance, gaining cross-sector experience across consumer and enterprise businesses.
Throughout her professional journey, she has led several large-scale business development initiatives covering enterprise telecom contracts, OTT subscription partnerships, advertising sales, sports sponsorships and market expansion programmes across India and other emerging markets.
The appointment comes as Gaana continues to strengthen its partnership-led growth strategy, with an increased focus on expanding monetisation opportunities and building deeper collaborations across industries.
