Gurugram: Scan4Health, an integrated diagnostics company, has appointed Abhay Singh Kumpawat as its Chief Product & AI Officer (CPAO), a newly created leadership position aimed at accelerating the company’s AI-led diagnostics strategy and digital transformation initiatives.
In his new role, Kumpawat will lead the company’s product, artificial intelligence and growth functions as Scan4Health works towards building a clinical-intent-driven, AI-first diagnostics platform for India.
An IIT Roorkee alumnus, Kumpawat brings more than 15 years of experience in product management, engineering, growth and artificial intelligence. He has previously worked across consumer technology and digital product leadership roles, focusing on combining data, behavioural insights and experimentation to develop products adopted by millions of users.
Founded by nuclear medicine physician Dr. Charu Jora Goyal, Scan4Health offers services across radiology, pathology and nuclear medicine. The company is developing technology across the diagnostics value chain, including patient discovery, appointment booking, imaging workflows, reporting, preventive healthcare and long-term patient engagement.
As part of its AI strategy, Scan4Health plans to invest in AI-assisted diagnostics for radiology, pathology and oncology imaging, intelligent patient engagement tools, automation of imaging and reporting workflows, and data-driven clinical systems aimed at supporting personalised preventive healthcare and long-term patient follow-up. The company said its approach is centred on using artificial intelligence to augment clinicians rather than replace them.
Commenting on his appointment, Abhay Singh Kumpawat said, “Scan4Health’s clarity of vision and clinical intent are what drew me to the company. When I met Dr. Charu Jora Goyal it became clear we share a belief that technology can fundamentally improve patient outcomes in a large and diverse country like India. Every successful product I have helped build began with understanding people first. AI is only valuable if it solves real patient problems. My focus at Scan4Health will be to build intelligent products that simplify healthcare for patients, strengthen clinicians with better tools and help scale quality diagnostics across India.”
