New Delhi: Telecom operator Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced the live streaming of the Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra 2026 on its OTT aggregation platform, Vi Movies & TV, allowing customers across India to watch the 12-day festival from Puri at no additional cost.
The initiative enables Vi subscribers to access the live relay of the annual Rath Yatra, one of India’s most revered religious festivals, as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra undertake their ceremonial journey to the Gundicha Temple. The service aims to provide devotees who are unable to travel to Puri with an opportunity to witness the celebrations remotely.
In partnership with ShemarooMe, Vi has curated a dedicated devotional content offering for the festival. From July 16 to July 27, 2026, customers can watch the live telecast of key ceremonies, including the Gundicha Yatra, Bahuda Yatra, Suna Besha, Adhar Pana and Niladri Bije, through the Vi Movies & TV platform.
Beyond the live telecast, Vi and ShemarooMe will also offer a 24×7 devotional content experience throughout the festival. The programming will include documentaries on the making of the Rathas (chariots), the history and traditions of the Jagannath Temple, conversations with Daityapatis, Pandas and Rath Shilpis, along with stories highlighting the lesser-known rituals and cultural heritage associated with the Rath Yatra.
The company said the initiative is part of its efforts to expand the range of entertainment, cultural and devotional programming available on Vi Movies & TV.
Vi Movies & TV serves as the company’s OTT aggregation platform, providing subscribers with access to more than 20 streaming services, including *ShemarooMe, JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV, Lionsgate Play* and *FanCode*, through a single interface.
