Friendship Day has become more than just a celebration of companionship—it is now an opportunity for brands to connect with consumers through relatable stories, shared experiences and meaningful interactions. This year, brands have rolled out campaigns that celebrate the many shades of friendship. Whether through digital experiences, nostalgic storytelling, humour or community-driven activations, these campaigns highlight how brands are tapping into the emotions and everyday moments that define modern friendships. Here’s a look at some of the standout Friendship Day campaigns of 2026.
Tata Mutual Fund
This Friendship Day, Tata Mutual Fund has unveiled ‘Dost Hi Sikhaate Hain’, a heartwarming Pomedy (Poetry + Comedy) performance launched under its investor education platform ‘Mehfil e-fund’. The initiative uses humour, relatable storytelling and spoken-word poetry to encourage investors to appreciate the value of long-term, disciplined investing through Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs).
Airtel
With Friendship Day approaching on August 2, Airtel has introduced a new feature on its app that lets users recharge a friend’s Airtel Prepaid number and send a personalised digital Friendship Band (valid till August 2, 2026). After completing the recharge, users can choose from themed Friendship Bands such as “Gym Buddy,” “Meme Dealer,” “Gedi Partner,” “Foodie Friend,” “Gossip Spiller,” and “Free Therapist,” which can be shared via WhatsApp or SMS along with a Friendship Day greeting. SMS recipients can also see the sender’s name and continue the gesture by sending a Friendship Band to someone else. Through this initiative, Airtel is giving a digital twist to the traditional Friendship Day celebration by turning a routine prepaid recharge into a more personal and shareable experience.
Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee
Tata Coffee Grand Cold Coffee, from Tata Consumer Products Limited, is celebrating Friendship Day with its #FriendsNeverSolo campaign, inspired by the everyday moments that strengthen friendships—from coffee breaks between lectures and spontaneous canteen visits to supporting a friend through life’s ups and downs. Built around the brand’s proposition, “Too Cool To Have It Solo,” the campaign celebrates the idea that some experiences are simply better together, reflecting how Gen Z values shared routines and spontaneous connections over grand gestures. Recognising coffee as a catalyst for meaningful interactions, the campaign features a mix of creator-led content, interactive social media conversations and college activations, encouraging people to celebrate the friends who make every plan, coffee break and ordinary day more memorable.

Ascenta
To mark Friendship Day, luxury real estate brand Ascenta has launched its new campaign, “Built on Trust,” highlighting trust as the foundation of every meaningful relationship and home-buying decision. Through a heartfelt short film, the campaign emphasises that, especially in the second-home market, buyers today value trust, transparency and credibility over marketing promises. Drawing a parallel between lasting friendships and homeownership, the campaign reinforces Ascenta’s belief that every meaningful journey begins with trust.
