A23 Poker arrives with Shah Rukh Khan acing a Don act

The campaign has been conceptualised by Vector Brand Solutions. The skill-based online poker platform is an addition to the company’s already portfolio including A23 Rummy and A23 Games.

Multi-gaming platform A23 (Head Digital Works), whose portfolio includes A23 Rummy and A23 Games, has announced the launch of its A23 Poker application. Launching the product is a campaign featuring brand Ambassador Shah Rukh Khan conceptualised by Vector Brand Solutions.

The cinematic film is set at a pier by the bay. Shah Rukh Khan and his friend are held captive by the bad guys who seem like international mafia. Khan executes a dramatic escape and wins in the end, all the while dropping Poker terms like ‘Bluffing chal rahi hai’, ‘Two of a kind’, ‘Raise’ and ‘All In’. Asked what was going on in his mind, Khan tells his friend, ‘Poker chal raha tha’. Khan signs off saying, ‘Poker khelne wale dikhate nahin’ before the product is introduced.

The brand also launched another film featuring Khan in its series to espouse ‘Responsible Gaming’.

With the online real-money gaming industry in India experiencing remarkable growth, the launch of A23 Poker comes at an opportune moment, informed a company statement.

Khan said in the statement, “A23 is one of most significant names when it comes to skill-based online gaming in our country. After becoming one of the leading online rummy platforms, they have now leveraged the experience and insights to create an exciting new product, A23 Poker. I am confident that the new app will appeal to every poker fan in the country and has something unique to offer. Congratulations to the team!”

The launch film illustrates our brand ambassador in an action-packed sequence while capturing the essence of the new product. This is the first instance for A23 to come up with a long running ad film (90 sec) and I am eager to witness how it is received by our audience. These ads are sure to create a positive stir amongst poker enthusiasts in the country. We also released a new ‘responsible gaming’ film to educate users about healthy and safe ways to game online. “

The films are live across major OTT and online video channels in Hindi.
