Gurugram: AbhiBus, an online bus ticketing platform and the bus business of ixigo, has unveiled a new campaign film featuring actor and choreographer Prabhu Deva to introduce its newly launched Roadside Assistance service.
The campaign highlights an industry-first customer support initiative aimed at improving reliability and confidence in intercity bus travel. Under the Roadside Assistance programme, passengers booking through AbhiBus can avail a complimentary alternate cab within 45 minutes if their bus breaks down during the journey, at no additional cost.
The initiative reflects AbhiBus’ effort to extend accountability beyond ticket booking and ensure uninterrupted travel experiences even during unforeseen disruptions.

Commenting on the launch, Rohit Sharma, COO, AbhiBus, said, “Consumer empathy is at the heart of everything we do. We go to great lengths to partner with trusted operators and help travellers make informed choices through quality and safety-focused features. At the same time, we recognise that unexpected disruptions like bus breakdowns can be stressful, especially during long or late-night journeys. With Roadside Assistance, we’re ensuring that our customers are never left stranded. For us, the travel experience doesn’t end at booking- it continues throughout the journey, and we’re committed to being there when our customers need us the most.”
The campaign film uses Prabhu Deva’s screen presence to communicate the reassurance and convenience offered by the service, positioning AbhiBus as a travel platform focused on end-to-end passenger support.
The newly launched Roadside Assistance programme adds to AbhiBus’ growing portfolio of customer-centric offerings. These include Abhi Assured, which offers up to 150% refunds under eligible conditions, the Filter New Bus feature that enables users to choose newer buses before booking, and 360-degree bus photos, allowing travellers to view actual interiors and exteriors before confirming seats.
The launch comes as online bus booking platforms continue to compete on service differentiation and traveller experience, beyond price and route availability.
