Mumbai: Akshita Khullar has joined Netflix India as part of its South Content Licensing team. In her new role, Khullar will contribute to expanding and curating South Indian content for the platform’s growing global audience.
Khullar joins Netflix India from Sony Pictures Network India, where she served as Content Acquisition Manager since 2021. During her tenure, she played a key role in sourcing and managing content across multiple genres, strengthening the network’s content portfolio.
Announcing the new role on her LinkedIn handle, Akshita shared, “Super thrilled to share that I’ve started a new role at Netflix India, joining the South Content Licensing team! This marks an exciting new chapter for me – stepping into the dynamic and ever-evolving space of South Indian cinema, which is vibrant, bold, and constantly pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

Prior to her stint at Sony Pictures Network India, Khullar has worked with several leading organisations including Warner Bros. Discovery, All India Radio, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, DAV UNITED, NDTV, and DDB Mudra Group.
With a diverse professional background, she brings expertise across creative writing, journalism, video editing, public relations, advertising, social media, and radio, positioning her well to contribute to Netflix India’s expanding regional content ambitions.
