Almedia ranks Third in FT1000 Europe’s Fastest-Growing Companies, Leads Advertising

Berlin: Almedia, the data-driven platform revolutionizing mobile gaming user acquisition, is proud to announce it has been named Europe’s third fastest-growing company in the prestigious FT1000 list, compiled by The Financial Times and Statista. The annual FT1000 ranks the fastest-growing companies across Europe based on average annual revenue growth over a three-year period.

Almedia’s extraordinary growth rate of 18,773.2% from 2020 to 2023 has earned it a prominent spot in the list, reflecting its continued innovation and rapid expansion. Founded by 23-year-old CEO Moritz Holländer while he was still in school, the company has expanded to 80 employees as of February 2025. Despite its remarkable success, Almedia remains founder-owned with no external funding. Headquartered in Berlin, the company’s third-place ranking also makes it the fastest-growing company in Germany.

At the forefront of a key digital advertising trend known as Reward-based User Acquisition, Almedia has been transforming mobile gaming user acquisition, increasing player engagement and retention through real-world rewards. Their platform, Freecash, has cultivated a community of over 35 million users who complete in-game missions and surveys to earn rewards such as gift cards from major brands like Netflix and Amazon. This innovative approach has also earned Almedia the title of the fastest-growing advertising company in the FT1000 list, reflecting the explosive growth of Reward-based User Acquisition in mobile apps and games.

Moritz Holländer, CEO and Founder of Almedia, shared his thoughts on the recognition, “Almedia’s inclusion in this year’s FT1000 and continued rapid growth reflects the new reality that audiences now expect rewards from their digital interactions – and advertisers are taking note. It also proves that, with the right fusion of great people and great tech, it’s still possible to grow innovative, tech-driven companies in Europe. We will continue to invest in both our people and our technology to achieve our goal of becoming the smartest way advertisers can spend their digital ad budgets.”

In November 2024, Almedia was recognized by Singular as a leader for ad spend growth, surpassing giants like Reddit and Amazon Media Group. The FT1000 ranking, which was produced in partnership with Statista, further solidifies Almedia’s position as a leader in digital advertising.
