Bengaluru: Amagi has announced the launch of AdFlow Orchestrator, an intelligent advertising and stream event management system designed to address monetization challenges in the growing Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST) ecosystem. The new Placement Opportunity Information Service (POIS)-based tool is being showcased at NAB Show 2026.
As broadcasters expand into FAST and connected TV (CTV) environments, a structural mismatch between traditional linear broadcast formats and streaming platform requirements has emerged as a key bottleneck. While linear TV feeds typically feature 4–8 minute ad pods, FAST platforms often reject these longer breaks, resulting in ad server timeouts and reduced fill rates.
AdFlow Orchestrator addresses this challenge by automatically restructuring broadcast ad breaks into streaming-compliant formats. Built on the SCTE 130-5 Placement Opportunity Information Service (POIS) standard, the solution integrates alongside the video supply chain to condition and optimize SCTE-35 ad markers for different distribution platforms. This ensures that ad opportunities are valid, accessible, and yield-optimized across streaming environments.

“The FAST landscape has matured, but revenue is often lost because Linear TV breaks aren’t natively built for the streaming ecosystem,” said Srinivasan KA, Co-founder and President – Global Business, Amagi. “AdFlow Orchestrator isn’t a workaround; it’s the right architecture, deployed where the problem actually lives. By automating the transition to compliant streaming breaks, we are not only seeing a direct impact on fill rates and a significant reduction in ad server time-outs — we’re also delivering the seamless viewer experience that streaming platforms demand.”
Key Capabilities
AdFlow Orchestrator introduces several features aimed at improving both monetization and viewer experience:
- Automated Pod Splitting: Converts long broadcast ad breaks into shorter, platform-compliant pods
- Dynamic Slate Replacement: Replaces static slates with curated interstitial content to maintain engagement
- Metadata Enrichment: Enhances ad signals with EPG data, potentially driving CPM uplifts of up to 20%
- Advanced Stream Event Control: Enables input switching for blackout scenarios and alternate content triggers
Deployment and Industry Impact
The solution is already deployed across 50+ channels, enabling content partners to meet diverse platform requirements without disrupting existing workflows. According to the company, partners have reported noticeable improvements in monetization within weeks of implementation.

“As our FAST footprint grew, we faced increasing challenges in adapting our break structures to meet varying platform standards, which led to delivery inefficiencies and suppressed fill rates. Amagi’s tool automated this process seamlessly, enabling platform-specific ad break optimization without requiring changes to our core playout workflow. The impact on our monetization was noticeable almost immediately,” said Gonçalo Madeira, Chief Technology Officer, FUEL TV
Availability
AdFlow Orchestrator is now available and designed for interoperability with leading transcoding, packaging, and CDN infrastructure. It can be deployed as a standalone solution or integrated within existing Amagi workflows.
The company is demonstrating the solution live at NAB Show 2026, Booth #W2331, highlighting its capabilities in enabling scalable, efficient monetization for FAST and CTV platforms.
