April Fools' Day 2024: The Most Creative Brand Campaigns
Share Share ShareShare

April Fools’ Day has become more than just a day for pranks—it’s a golden opportunity for brands to engage audiences with humor and creativity. This year, brands like RiteBite Max Protein, Manforce Condoms, Clovia, JioHotstar, BookMyShow, Pocket FM, and goSTOPS delivered some of the most entertaining and innovative April Fools’ campaigns. Whether through prank product launches, clever marketing twists, or engaging content, these brands proved that laughter and creativity go hand in hand in building stronger connections with their audiences. Let’s dive into the best April Fools’ campaigns of the year!

RiteBite Max Protein

In partnership with Schbang Delhi, RiteBite Max Protein launched a disruptive April Fools’ campaign that highlighted truth over temptation. The campaign targeted users with late-night temptations and discount coupons, redirecting them to a landing page promoting healthy snacking choices, yielding over 16,000 link clicks and 20,000 engagements on Meta alone.

Manforce Condoms

Manforce Condoms launched a playful April Fool’s Day campaign introducing futuristic Dot AI condoms, surprising the audience before revealing it was a prank. The campaign highlighted features like micro sensors for vibrations and nano sensors promoting mutual orgasm and size adjustment, along with performance tracking through an app. Known for unique campaigns, Manforce’s latest Smart Condom packs received mixed reactions, with the social media campaign amassing 30 million views and generating engagement and speculation.

Clovia & Hilary Rhoda

Clovia, an Indian lingerie brand, collaborated with Hilary Rhoda on a prank bra featuring a lip balm pocket, sparking social media hype. The lighthearted partnership aimed to celebrate innovation humorously and engage women authentically. Despite being fictional, the campaign showcased both brands’ commitment to creative thinking that resonates with their audience.

JioHotstar

April Fools’ Day isn’t just about harmless pranks—it’s a celebration of laughter, mischief, and good times. And what better way to mark the occasion than by indulging in some of the funniest comedies available on JioHotstar? Whether you enjoy outrageous humor, buddy films, or laugh-out-loud chaos, these movies are bound to keep the fun going all day long. From The Hangover to The Devil Wears Prada, JioHotstar brings fun to the audiences.

Harsh Gujral and BookMyShow

Fans of Harsh Gujral were shocked by a cryptic social media post hinting at retirement from comedy on March 31. The comedian shared a Reddit thread speculation, then released a video confirming his retirement from his old set, part of an April Fool’s Day prank with BookMyShow. The successful tour ‘Jo Bolta Hai Wohi Hota Hai’ is concluding after four years, with final shows starting on April 18 in Bengaluru and spanning various cities.

Pocket FM

Axar Patel, a standout Indian all-rounder, prank-announced his retirement to pickleball on social media, charming and surprising fans on April Fool’s Day. The playful video, created with Pocket FM, showcased Axar’s fun side and highlighted the platform’s engaging content amidst a sea of online offerings.

The humorous initiative, while a joke, emphasized goSTOPS’ mission of inspiring youth to travel, connect, and grow through hostel stays.
