Ashok Cherian calls it a quit at Applause Entertainment, he will be joining TikTok as their Marketing Head. Cherian had joined Applause Entertainment back in 2018
Prior to this, Cherian was the CEO at SMAASH Entertainment for four years where he was part of the core team that helped the brand grow. With an experience of over 20 years, Cherian has an experience of working in the print, television, consulting, and retail industry.
Cherian was also associated with MTV where he completed his 7-year stint, he led the sponsorship marketing team that provided clients with innovative ideas to seamlessly integrate their brand values into MTV’s projects/shows. Other than that Cherian was the Strategy Director for Naked Media where he provided strategic and digital solutions for clients that were from real estate to music brands.
