BARC Week 19: Flowers TV claims No.2 spot in Malayalam GEC market

BARC Week 24: South Channels remain intact without any significant changes in pecking order

In the South channel category in Week 19 of BARC data, the positions in the chart remained glued compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2362.58 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa with 2200.06 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Star Vijay with 1574.22 (000) AMA at 3rd spot. Zee Kannada retained its 4th spot with 1330.37 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu with 1328.76 AMA at the 5th spot.

Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)

In the Tamil speaking market, Sun TV maintained its top spot with 2127.81 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1480.44 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot. KTV shifted one spot up and stood at 3rd position with 721.24 (000) AMA. Zee Tamil slipped to 4th spot with 704.18 (000) AMA. Star Vijay Super retained its 5th spot with 423.84 (000) AMA.

Kannada (Karnataka) 

Among the Kannada speaking market, Zee Kannada maintained its top spot with 1318.03 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 789.95 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot. Udaya TV shifted one spot up and stood at 3rd position with 518.63 (000) AMA. Star Suvarna slipped to 4th position with 489.73 (000) AMA. Udaya movies retained its 5th spot with 361.81 (000) AMA.

Malayalam (Kerala)

In the Malayalam speaking market, Asianet maintained its lead with 879.28 (000) AMA. Flowers TV with 218.05 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Mazhavil Manorama at 3rd spot with 197.89 (000) AMA swapped their positions. Zee Keralam retained its 4th spot with 192.57 (000) AMA followed by Asianet Movies with 149.95 (000) AMA and at the 5th spot.

Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana) 

Among the Telugu speaking market, the positions in the chart remained unchanged compared to last week. Star Maa maintained its lead with 2080.54 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu with 1286.54 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and ETV Telugu with 975.0 (000) AMA at the 3rd spot. Gemini TV stood at 4th spot with 664.61 (000) AMA. Star Maa Movies retained its 5th spot with 607.27 (000) AMA.
