BARC Week 20: Zee Keralam claims No. 3 spot in Malayalam GEC market

BARC Week 24: South Channels remain intact without any significant changes in pecking order

In the South channel category in Week 20 of BARC data, the positions in the chart remained the same compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2504.8 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa with 2202.77 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Star Vijay at 3rd spot with 1668.38 (000) AMA. Zee Kannada retained its 4th spot with 1435.32 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu with 1281.24 AMA at the 5th spot.

Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)

Among the Tamil speaking market, the positions in the chart remained unchanged compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2261.61 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1569.57 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and KTV at 3rdspot with 772.84 (000) AMA. Zee Tamil stood at 4th spot with 749.4 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay Super at 5th spot with 450.47 (000) AMA.

Kannada (Karnataka) 

In the Kannada speaking market, Zee Kannada maintained its top spot with 1420.25 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 739.1 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Udaya TV at 3rdspot with 481.06 (000) AMA. Star Suvarna retained its 4thspot with 467.19 (000) AMA followed by Udaya movies with 366.07 (000) AMA at 5th spot.

Malayalam (Kerala)

Among the Malayalam speaking market, Asianet continued its lead with 909.51 (000) AMA followed by Flowers TV with 244.04 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot. Zee Keralam shifted one spot up and claimed the 3rd position with 205.7 (000) AMA. Mazhavil Manorama slipped one spot down and stood at 4th position with 204.45 (000) AMA. Surya TV was the new entrant in the chart with 165.1 (000) AMA and claimed the 5thspot.

Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana)

In the Telugu speaking market, the positions in the chart remained glued compared to last week. Star Maa maintained its top spot with 2069.04 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu with 1235.2 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and ETV Telugu with 928.7 (000) AMA at the 3rd spot. Gemini TV retained its 4th spot with 714.1 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa Movies at 5thspot with 559.26 (000) AMA.
