BARC Week 8: Sun TV retains the top spot in the across genre category

In Week 8 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, the top 5 spots in the across genre category remained unchanged compared to week 7. Sun TV retained its top spot with 2483.04 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa at the second spot with 2387.79 (000) AMA and Star Plus with 2380.09 (000) AMA at the third spot. Star Utsav stood at the 4th spot with 2317.24 (000) AMA followed by Dhinchaak at the 5th spot with 1787.83 (000) AMA. Star Vijay shifted one spot up and stood at the 6th position with 1635.27 (000) AMA. Colors was the new entrant in the top 10 list and claimed the 7th spot with 1505.99 (000) AMA. Sony Sab jumped from 10th spot to 8th spot with 1501.66 (000) AMA as compared to week 7. Zee TV dropped drastically from 6th spot to 9th spot with 1466.37 (000) AMA followed by Sony Pal from 8th spot to 10th spot with 1459.42 (000) AMA.

Hindi Speaking Market

In the Hindi Speaking Market, the top 3 positions continued to be the same compared to week 7. Star Utsav retained its top spot with 2309.96 (000) AMA followed by Star Plus with 2297.5 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Dhinchaak at the 3rd spot with 1768.31 (000) AMA. Colors with 1481.71 (000) AMA at the 4th spot and Sony Sab with 1473.29 (000) AMA at the 5th spot were the two new entrants in the Top 5 chart.

South 

In the South channel category, the Top 3 positions continued to be the same compared to week 7. Sun TV continued its lead with 2471.44 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa at the 2nd spot with 2325.24 (000) AMA and Star Vijay with 1630.84 (000) AMA at the 3rd spot. Zee Telugu shifted one spot up and claimed the 4th position with 1386.36 (000) AMA. Zee Kannada slipped to 5th position with 1322.63 (000) AMA.
