According to the BARC ratings released on Thursday News18 has secured 12.4% market share (week 26-29; HSM-Urban+Rural), ahead of AajTak (12.3%) and India TV (12.1%).
The channel is also ahead of the competition in prime time with over 13% market share. In the past few months, News18 India has spruced up its content and programming strategy, coupled with new marketing initiatives. The channel has not only performed well on TV but its digital audience base has also seen a steep growth.
