Calicut: Malabar Gold & Diamonds has issued a clarification stating that an orchestrated conspiracy is taking place to malign the brand with a photograph in which a Pakistan national flag engraved cake is being cut has been deliberately spread across social media platforms alleging that the same was done by Malabar Gold & Diamonds on the occasion of the celebration of Pakistan Independence day and it requested the general public not to be misguided with this kind of false propaganda.

It may be noted that a Facebook post on Malabar gold and diamond’s page over Pakistan’s Independence Day has become a source of controversy for the jeweller.

The company has clarified that it has no connection with the photograph being spread and it is a celebration held at another money exchange company in the Middle East, and their logo is clearly visible in the background.

This being the fact, some quarters with clear vested interests are circulating this among unsuspecting people. Some of the local organizations were misguided with this fake image and they are organizing protest campaigns against the company in some markets.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds also informed every stake holder again that the company has nothing to do with the cake cutting photograph being circulated and the campaigns against the company using this particular image is part of a conspiracy to damage the brand by its business rivals.

Upon an enquiry performed on the Company’s complaint regarding this cybercrime against it, Dubai Police has already arrested one person and he is under custody now and the case will be referred to prosecution.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds reiterated that it is very much an Indian company upholding the values of Indian democracy with its humble beginning in 1993 at Kozhikode.

The Statement from Malabar Gold & Diamonds also stated that it has grown into an international jewellery chain today with 156 branches across 9 countries and over 8000 employees. Malabar Gold & Diamonds has 2,000 investors from varied regional, cultural and religious backgrounds of whom 400 are working within the company itself.
