Mumbai: In a decisive move to drive integrated marketing innovation, Dentsu India has announced the appointment of John Thangaraj as Chief Strategy Officer – Creative & Media. This newly created strategic leadership position reinforces dentsu’s commitment to uniting creative brilliance with media precision to deliver meaningful business outcomes for clients.
John will report directly to Amit Wadhwa, CEO, Dentsu Creative & Media Brands, South Asia, and Narayan Devanathan, President & Chief Strategy Officer, South Asia. His mandate will be to bridge the creative and media ecosystems within the network, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with dentsu’s global philosophy of ‘Innovating to Impact’.
Armed with a strong foundation in consumer insight, data-driven strategies, and a passion for innovative storytelling, John will bring a unified strategic perspective to both verticals. His leadership aims to elevate dentsu’s work to be not only creatively compelling but also rooted in strategic clarity and measurable outcomes.
Prior to joining dentsu, John served as Chief Strategy Officer at Havas Creative Network, where he played a pivotal role in reshaping brand narratives and delivering transformative campaigns. Before that, he held the position of Group Chief Strategy Officer at FCB India, where he led strategic direction across multiple agencies, including Ulka, Interface, India, and Kinnect.
