Mumbai: Triple Tap Games, a Mumbai-based gaming studio, has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Eximius Ventures and Kalaari Capital, with support from prominent angel investors in the entertainment and gaming sectors. This investment will fuel the studio’s ambition to develop and launch hybrid casual puzzle games targeting a global market, with a primary focus on the US and Europe.
Founded in 2024 by Karan Khairajani, a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record in the gaming industry, Triple Tap Games is poised to disrupt the ‘relax and unwind’ category of mobile gaming. Karan, who co-founded Firescore Interactive, helped develop highly successful hypercasual games such as Soap Cutting, Acrylic Nails, and Hair Dye, which collectively garnered over 400 million downloads and generated millions in revenue. After successfully exiting Firescore Interactive to a top Israeli publisher, Crazy Labs, Karan identified a unique opportunity in the hybrid-casual gaming space.

“We are excited to announce this fundraise, which will fuel our vision to build in the category of ‘relax and unwind’ games,” said Karan Khairajani, Founder of Triple Tap Games. “Our team, with over a decade of experience in the gaming space, is uniquely positioned to understand what players want. By leveraging AI, we’re building an extensive content pipeline to deliver truly engaging experiences. We’re grateful for the support of our distinguished VC funds and angel investors.”
Pearl Agarwal, Founder and Managing Partner at Eximius Ventures, commented, “Triple Tap combines a world-class team with a clear vision to unlock the untapped potential of hybrid-casual gaming. Karan’s track record of building and exiting a globally recognized studio, coupled with his focus on a women-centric audience and leveraging AI to accelerate production, makes this an exciting opportunity.”
Harshit Kumar, AVP at Kalaari Capital, added, “Karan is one of the rare founders who brings deep passion and unique insights into the gaming market. His experience in building global games positions him to push boundaries and create engaging experiences for players worldwide. We’re thrilled to partner with Triple Tap as they bring world-class hybrid-casual games to life – building from India, for the world.”
With this funding, Triple Tap Games will focus on building internal capabilities in rapid prototyping, data analytics, distribution, and monetization. The funds will also help attract top industry talent and support the launch of their first game, laying the foundation for long-term success.
