MUMBAI: Final Post has announced the launch of Pink VFX. The initiative is dedicated to empowering women in the visual effects (VFX) industry. Despite an increase in the representation of women pursuing careers in VFX, the industry still grapples with significant gender disparities, with women comprising less than 20% of the workforce and only 4% in senior VFX roles. Pink VFX aims to dismantle these barriers and create pathways for women to not only enter but thrive in the field.
Based in London, Final Post delivers post-production management and expertise alongside first-class VFX services to a global film community. Its portfolio encompasses hundreds of productions — including blockbusters, shorts, and regular television broadcastst.
Pink VFX aims to increase the participation of women in various roles within the VFX pipeline, including compositing, matchmove, quality control, production, and creative supervision. By fostering mentorship programmes and creating a nurturing environment, Pink VFX will empower women to break traditional barriers and assume leadership roles, ultimately producing groundbreaking work that reflects diverse perspectives. This initiative the company added recognises the numerous challenges women encounter in advancing their careers within this male-dominated industry, such as limited access to mentorship and rigid workplace policies.

Sam Bhattacharjee, founder Final Post said, “Pink VFX is more than just a vfx unit — it’s the world’s first women-led VFX outlet, created to empower, train, and elevate women across all areas of post-production. From compositing and matchmove to QC, production, and creative supervision, we’re building a new future, frame by frame.”
He continues, addressing the industry’s gender gap, “The gender gap in visual effects is undeniable — and it’s time we stepped up. Today, less than 20% of professionals in VFX are women, and only 4% of VFX Supervisors across major studios are female. Despite more women entering VFX education, the drop-off at senior levels is steep — due to limited mentorship, flexible policies, and real career support.”
As Final Post Ltd embarks on this transformative journey, Pink VFX is dedicated to building an inclusive community where creativity can thrive, collaboration is encouraged, and every voice is valued.
The initiative is currently seeking women to join its mission and make an impact in the VFX landscape. Immediate openings will be available for freelancers in the UK, with opportunities in India as well.
