Bengaluru: Flipkart has announced key additions to its technology leadership team with the appointment of Goda Ramkumar as Vice President – Data Science & AI Solutions, Mohan Palisetti as Vice President – Fintech & Payments Engineering, and Nitesh Jain as Distinguished Architect. The appointments align with the company’s continued focus on scaling capabilities across AI, data science, engineering, and financial services to support its growing digital commerce ecosystem.
As Flipkart expands its product and service offerings across commerce, payments and financial services, the company said these appointments reflect its commitment to strengthening technology depth and building more relevant, reliable and seamless experiences for customers, sellers and partners.
Goda Ramkumar will lead the application of AI and data science across marketplace operations, customer trust and safety, planning, and fulfilment functions. She brings close to two decades of experience in building AI, machine learning and analytics-led solutions across data-intensive businesses.
Prior to joining Flipkart, Ramkumar served as Head of Data Science and Applied AI at Swiggy, where she led teams across forecasting, recommendations, logistics, fraud prevention and GenAI applications. She has also advised more than 50 startups on AI adoption, built pricing and dispatch optimisation systems at Ola, and spent over a decade at Sabre developing forecasting and revenue management solutions for global airlines.
Mohan Palisetti joins as Vice President – Fintech & Payments Engineering and will lead efforts to strengthen Flipkart’s fintech and payments ecosystem. With more than 24 years of experience in financial technology and platform development, Palisetti most recently served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Mastercard, driving technology strategy for global real-time payment capabilities.
Over the course of his career, he has also held leadership positions at PayPal, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and D.E. Shaw, focusing on building scalable and trusted financial infrastructure.
Nitesh Jain has been appointed Distinguished Architect and will steer Flipkart’s engineering systems strategy, focusing on system reliability, developer productivity and long-term platform evolution.
Jain brings over two decades of experience building large-scale software systems and developer infrastructure across organisations including Razorpay, Angel One and Walmart Global Tech. His recent work has centred on integrating AI into engineering workflows to improve software development and delivery.

The appointments follow the onboarding of Smita Ojha as Vice President – Engineering and Amit Sharma as Vice President – Programme Management earlier this year, further strengthening Flipkart’s technology leadership bench.
