From Home to Fame: Dainik Bhaskar’s Super Chef 2025 Celebrates Culinary Talent

Mumbai: Dainik Bhaskar Group, India’s largest print media company, successfully concluded the first edition of its flagship culinary initiative — SuperChef 2025. Designed as a tribute to the country’s rich culinary heritage, the competition provided a national platform for everyday home chefs to showcase their talent, creativity, and passion for food.

SuperChef India 2025, hosted by Dainik Bhaskar, received an overwhelming nationwide response, uniting passionate home cooks from across the country. The campaign began with a video shortlisting round judged by Chef Nita Mehta and Food Critic Amin Ali, culminating in 270 state-level finalists from across 9 states. Auditions were held in 8 key cities including Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad turning each venue into a vibrant cultural and culinary showcase. From these, 18 top home chefs advanced to the Grand Finale in Bhopal.

The finale, judged by India’s Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Nita Mehta, and Amin Ali, celebrated India’s rich food heritage through a thrilling cook-off, resulting in one winner and two runner-ups who embodied tradition, creativity, and innovation.

Amplified across print, radio, digital, and social media, the campaign also saw strong engagement from leading food bloggers and influencers, making it a truly hybrid celebration.

Speaking on the initiative, Girish Agarwal, Director, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said “Through SuperChef, we’ve enabled home chefs — especially from Tier 2 and 3 cities — to identify, express, and present their talent to a national audience.
