Mumbai: Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has confirmed a fresh leadership mandate for its top executive, with the Board approving the reappointment of Sudhir Sitapati as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term beginning 18 October 2026.
The move signals continuity in the company’s strategic direction, with Sitapati set to extend his leadership beyond his current tenure that began in 2021. During this period, he has been at the forefront of driving GCPL’s transformation agenda and sharpening its focus across key markets and categories.
In addition to his responsibilities at GCPL, Sitapati plays an active role in industry forums. He currently chairs the FMCG Committee at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and has earlier co-chaired the organisation’s National Committee on Food Processing.
Prior to joining GCPL, Sitapati built a global career spanning over two decades at Unilever, where he held leadership positions across India, Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa. His final role at the company was Executive Director – Foods and Refreshments at Hindustan Unilever.
Separately, GCPL also announced a forthcoming change at the Board level. Nadir Godrej will step down as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, with his retirement set to take effect from 7 August 2026.
The leadership developments come at a time when GCPL continues to focus on strengthening its business transformation efforts and long-term growth strategy.
