Mumbai: Gupshup has announced the launch of Gupshup Superagent, an autonomous AI agent designed to manage and scale customer conversations across messaging and voice channels. Alongside this, the company has also introduced Superclaw, a self-hosted version tailored for SMEs and privacy-first organisations.
Superagent marks a significant step beyond traditional AI assistants, functioning as a full-stack orchestrator for customer engagement. From a single conversational interface, it enables businesses to design and launch campaigns, manage customer journeys, provision messaging and voice infrastructure, process transactions, and continuously optimise performance. The platform supports multiple channels including WhatsApp, RCS, SMS, Telegram, Instagram, Truecaller, PSTN voice, and WhatsApp voice, across multiple languages globally.
Built on Gupshup’s 15-year expertise in conversational AI, Superagent leverages the company’s extensive messaging and voice infrastructure, which currently handles over 10 billion messages per month for more than 50,000 businesses across 100+ countries. It also integrates industry-specific insights, channel best practices, and performance optimisation metrics to enable context-aware, autonomous decision-making.
With minimal input, Superagent can set up infrastructure, build AI agents, create customer journeys, execute campaigns, and analyse performance, while continuously self-optimising outcomes. According to the company, beta users have reported up to 90% reduction in time, effort, and cost, along with over 25% higher conversion rates.

“Managing customer conversations has been too hard for too long. Superagent is not just laying the rails for AI-powered customer engagement; it can also run the trains. It autonomously attracts, serves, and converts customers — across every channel, in every language — without waiting to be told what to do. We believe this will transform customer engagement and are thrilled to put it in our customers’ hands.” said Beerud Sheth, Founder & CEO of Gupshup.
In parallel, Gupshup has launched Superclaw, a self-hosted, on-device version of Superagent built on the Openclaw platform. Designed for enhanced data privacy and efficiency, Superclaw runs locally, ensuring that all user and customer data remains on-device. It is aimed at small and medium businesses seeking cost-efficient AI capabilities, as well as enterprises operating in regulated industries where data sovereignty is critical.
Superagent can be accessed via web, WhatsApp, voice, and RCS, and can also be integrated with existing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. The platform is currently live in beta, signalling Gupshup’s push to redefine customer engagement through autonomous, AI-driven solutions.
