After adding the AVOD feature, Heeroz OTT is launching 3 Web Series in the coming weeks, starting with Punjabi Web Series ‘Haweli Wale’ (5 Episodes) on 1 August 2021, followed by ‘Jab Hum Parhya Karte The’ (Punjabi – 6 Episodes), and ‘Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahin’ (Hindi – 24 Episodes).
To begin with, Haweli Wale is a story from the heartland of Punjab where having a ‘Waaris’ or ‘Successor,’ that too a male child is considered a must and the rich can go to any extent to achieve this using all and any means. The Series has an ensemble cast popular in Punjabi Movies, including Sanju Solanki, Sinder Pal Kaur, Malkit Rouni, Kawita Sharma, Pardeep Kaur, Kamalpreet Nazam Prabhjot Randhawa, Anmol Gupta, Dharminder Kaur, Ankita Saili and is written by Simipreet Kaur with direction by Gaurav Kr Bargota. It’s a Catrack Entertainment and Arsara Motion Pictures Presentation.
Coming in a couple of weeks, ‘Jab Hum Parhya Karte The’ is about high school students living in Tier-II or Tier-III cities where the students are more inclined to have fun and explore newly learned so-called romance rather than their studies. It has 6 episodes and was shot in the actual location of a Govt. School with many students in the cast. A nostalgic moment for watching what many of the Urban and NRIs have experienced during their adolescence.
To be Released by the end week of August, ‘Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahin’ is just about emotions with multiple stories running parallel. It can be clearly called a Web Sit-Com for having all the senses, sensibilities, and emotions revolving around the issues of child labor, human trafficking, and prostitution, which can touch any viewer’s heart irrespective of their emotional orientation
