In this segment, Kejal Teckchandani –VP – Kinnect Outreach shares her experiences and breaking the gender stereotypes and how she continues to inspire many other women who are true leaders in the making.

Journey

My journey has been all about embracing change, being agile, and a never-ending learning process. When I look back at it, I feel incredibly proud. Starting a career in the field of Institutional Equities, embracing motherhood, and now heading the Influencer Marketing division at India’s leading creative, data, and digital media powerhouse – Kinnect, I’m ecstatic about donning the many hats. In my 15 years of experience, there has been so much to learn and imbibe.

Inspiration & Inspiring the Team

While I may be expected to share names of women leaders and personalities, all the leaders at Kinnect keep inspiring me with their personalities and the great work. My mother and two daughters are also my biggest strength and inspiration as I believe that inspiration doesn’t need to be drawn from women with designations or stature; it can be from those who truly made/make a difference in your life. Of course, there’s much adoration for women who have made a mark and etched their names in history, but a bigger shout out to women who inspire me every day. Today as leaders, we are setting precedence for our teams, shaping them, and more importantly, shaping the kind of leaders they will become tomorrow. What they learn today will factor in their success tomorrow. And I hope, as a leader, I’ve managed to inspire them to keep learning and growing.

Empowerment of Women

Women empowerment is fundamental to driving growth in society as women are ‘change agents’. The rising voices for gender equality and advocacy for women’s empowerment reflect a more balanced, inclusive, and progressive society. I look forward to creating more opportunities for women in advertising.
