Mumbai: IndusInd Bank has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Ganesh Sankaran and Jagdeep Mallareddy as Additional Directors in the category of Executive Directors (Whole-time Directors), for a proposed tenure of three years.
The appointments are subject to necessary approvals from the Reserve Bank of India and the Bank’s shareholders. Once formalised, both executives will also take on responsibilities as Key Managerial Personnel.
In the interim, Sankaran and Mallareddy have been designated as Executive Director–Designate with effect from April 24, 2026, until the appointments receive the required clearances.
Ganesh Sankaran, who currently heads the Wholesale Banking Group at IndusInd Bank, brings over three decades of experience spanning wholesale banking, SME financing, and retail credit. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles at prominent financial institutions including Axis Bank, Federal Bank, and HDFC Bank, where he played a key role in business expansion and transformation initiatives.
Jagdeep Mallareddy, currently leading Consumer Banking at the Bank, also brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services, with expertise across retail banking, lending, credit, operations, and risk management. Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, he was part of the leadership team at Piramal Finance Limited and has previously held senior roles at Axis Bank.
The appointments signal IndusInd Bank’s continued focus on reinforcing its leadership bench across key business verticals, as it looks to drive growth and operational strength across both wholesale and consumer banking segments.
