Chennai : The leading Tamil satellite channel Kalaignar TV, is gearing up for the launch a mega period fiction show ”RAMANUJAR”, which is based on the life history of the famous Hindu theologian, philosopher, and scriptural exegete who lived during the period 1017–1137 CE.
The historic show will be a tribute to the sage who lived 1000 years ago pushing for transformation and a renaissance in the religious movement. He was instrumental in introducing changes and accelerating the ‘Divya Prabandham’ considered the holy book based on the Dravidian culture. A simplified version of ‘Divya Prabandham’ would not have been possible but for this sage.
Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi is writing the script for this mega serial based on the facts available on the life history of this noble sage.
Vaishnavee Media Works, owned by the popular actress and television producer ‘Kuttipadmini’ has been assigned the task of producing this mega serial for Kalaignar TV.
Sources from Kalaignar TV and Production House Vaishnavee Media Works confirmed that the new series is under production at brisk phase for the launch. However, the channel is yet to decide and launch date and the promo activity will be initiated accordingly.
It may be noted that Dr Kalaignar is also penning the script for a period fiction show titled ”Romapuri Pandian” which is being aired on Kalaignar TV @ 8:30 PM on every Monday to Friday and it is also being produced by Vaishnavee Media Works.
