Chennai: Actor Kamal Haasan announced that he will not return as the host for the upcoming season of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. In a note, he explained that he is unable to continue in the role due to prior professional commitments.
“With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I’m unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil. I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude. Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India,” the note read.
Kamal Haasan expressed that hosting the show had been an enriching experience for him, where he honestly shared his learnings. He conveyed his gratitude for the opportunity, thanking the audience and contestants for their time together. Additionally, he extended his thanks to the wonderful team at Vijay TV and every crew member involved, expressing confidence that the upcoming season will be another success.
Vijay TV is looking for an alternative to host the upcoming season of the show. Bigg Boss Tamil has been a major crowd puller for the channel with its viewership peaking season after season.
