After the stupendous success of South Indian Media Summit of 2018, 2019 and Mobile & Digital Media Conclave 2019, Fourth Dimension Media is all set to roll out their next B2B knowledge-rich conclave at Madurai on 27th February 2020 at Hotel Marriott, Madurai, this time on “Changing Media Landscape in Tamil Nadu”.
Speaking exclusively with MediaNews4U, Shankar B, CEO of Fourth Dimension Media Solutions, briefed us on his plans for Media Conclave 2020:
Excerpts:
What are the objective of these conclaves, Shankar ?
The objective is very simple. As a storyteller I want brand custodians and media agencies to look at South India more qualitatively, speaking of 4 regional languages with various cultural lines. Most of our summits have representation across India with large presence from South, We also want to impart knowledge to the student community at large in and around South India. Im referring to more Tier 3,4 & 5 towns.
Are these Summits Profitable ?
Not all events/summits you do for profit. As pioneer in media outsourcing you do certain stuff to give back to the society, so that there are thousands of them who benefit. We really feel extremely proud to say that students, entrpreneurs and start up incubators have all been benefitted immensely, that answers the question.
You had plans to do such summits internationally? what happened ?
The time is not ripe yet, we have been approached by a lot of people from Asian markets to co-partner with them and execute such formats. We will come there when we have something concrete.
As a Television expert – do you feel the medium is here to stay ?
Wrong question to ask – as a country we are still underserviced in terms of TV. TN as a state is known to have created brands by embracing only TV. The so called OTT players and many other people in certain categories still derive maximum mileage through TV only. Just do some research and find out how many have upgraded their TV sets in the last couple of years, while I’m not disregarding OTT & Digital, I feel there is opportunity for all of us to grow. If the industry is in a hurry to write Obituary for Television – they are wrong, there is still a lot of time.
When is your coveted event – South India Media Summit Version 3 ? what’s new?
SIMS has become a brand by itself and this time we are working out on some new topics, names and venue with memorable and delightful experience for both speakers and participants. While the topics haven’t been curated yet – it will happen soon. Yes it will be only in South for sure.
What’s next for Fourth Dimension ?
As I always say – want to be a one stop shop for Media Outsourcing – don’t want to keep boundaries like only TV or Cinema or Digital. We can add value to anyone who wants to make their presence felt in South India. We will work towards it.
Why Madurai ?
Madurai is a great city and great market ! The city is known for awesome brands like Gopal Toothpowder, Saibol, Rajmahal textiles, Idhayam Gingelly Oil (Virudhu Nagar) etc. This city has always fascinated me from my TV days. The city has transformed itself – number of hospitals and educational institutes it has produced is amazing. Most of them being very big on all forms of media. It has always been on our radar to do an event here.
Media Conclave 2020 at Madurai will witness the powerful speaker like Mr Mohit Joshi, MD – India, Havas Media Group, Ms Danessa, Managing Director, Elite Foods India, Mr L V Krishnan, CEO, TAM Media Research, Mr Harish Manian, CEO, MGM Healthcare Limited, Mr Parag Kulkarni, Managing Director, AO Smith Water Heaters India.
