Mumbai: Metro Brands Ltd., a footwear specialty retailer, has announced the appointment of Manoj Juneja as Chief Business Officer – Sports Division, reinforcing the company’s focus on accelerating growth in the sports and athleisure category.
Juneja joins Metro Brands with more than 27 years of experience spanning retail, footwear, fashion and consumer sectors. Over the course of his career, he has built expertise across profit and loss management, business strategy, omni-channel development and large-scale business transformation, while successfully driving growth and operational scale across markets.
In his new role, Juneja will spearhead Metro Brands’ sports portfolio, which includes FILA, New Era, Foot Locker and MetroActiv. He will be responsible for driving business expansion, strengthening strategic brand partnerships, enhancing consumer experiences and expanding the division’s footprint through integrated retail and omni-channel strategies.

Prior to joining Metro Brands, Juneja served as Chief Executive Officer at Crocs India Marketing Pvt. Ltd., where he led the business for Crocs and Hey Dude, driving growth through brand-led initiatives and strengthening direct-to-consumer capabilities.
Earlier, as Chief Operating Officer for Reebok India at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, he played a key role in the relaunch of the brand in India, building operations from the ground up and delivering business growth. He has also held senior leadership positions at Adidas India, Timex Group India, LG Electronics and MIRC Electronics, leading initiatives across business expansion, digital transformation and operational excellence.
The appointment comes at a time when Metro Brands continues to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly evolving sports and lifestyle market, with increasing consumer demand for performance-driven and comfort-oriented products shaping the next phase of category growth.
